Many has wondered how some of the smoothies i made at home taste like. Some are downright scary (green) and some looked like baby's vomit. While the look of it might be intimidating, the taste, as they always say, will be the decider. After all, if something taste good, it will naturally be eaten again - despite how bad they look. So, aiming to educate and share, i am going to start reviewing the smoothies i usually make at home and will rate it so you will...err..have a "rough idea what it will taste like". I will start with the Papaya, Pineapple, Honeydew and Milk combo.
loose cut fruits from the local groceries store. Pricing is alright with good quality! |
Illustration purpose only. Please cut the fruits up. Blending without cover will splatter everything, everywhere. You been warned. |
The texture: Smooth.
The smell: Err...fruity with strong papaya smell.
The color: Could be mistaken for a strawberry smoothie
The taste: Sweet with strong papaya taste. Pineapple went missing and honeydew was subtle. It did taste a little icky if you leave it in your mouth for a while.
Yummy? |
Will I Try It Again?: YES. Watch out for it tomorrow!
Sir. Is it okay to prep smoothie the night before for breakfast?
ReplyDeleteHi Nora, I would not suggest so. Fruits will oxidise if you leave it too long. At most, an hour and need refrigeration.
