The company is a family-owned fragrance house based in Dubai. The brand name actually meant “most beautiful” in Arabic. With 60 years of history and heritage, it has established itself in the world and has became synonymous with captivating perfumes and beauty products, as well as high quality traditional Arabic and oriental fragrance products for the body and home.
The history of Ajmal Perfume has a humble beginning. It was believed that Ajmal Ali, a rice farmer from Assam (in India)went to Bombay to try his luck when the scarcity of rain in his hometown made life difficult as a farmer.
He decided to trade Agarwood (or Oudh) that was in abundance in his hometown as the oil from Agarwood was used extensively in the making of oriental perfume. The high quality of the oil that he trades in captured the attention of some Arab traders and as they said, the rest is history.
Today, the son of (the late) Ajmal Ali, Nazir Ajmal, presides over the company and has a portfolio of over 135 exclusive outlets worldwide and one of them (the 135th outlet) is in Malaysia since July 2010 at Pavilion KL!

The operation in Kuala Lumpur is headed by Abdulla Ajmal, the grandson of the founder. He is the first of the third generation that is involved in this business and is the current Executive Director of Ajmal.Mr. Abdulla Ajmal
The concept store in Pavilion Kuala Lumpur has the "My Inspiration" concept where you can (under watchful and informed) perfumist, create a scent that is exclusive only to you! This is very much in-line with the brand philosophy, "Crafting Memories".
The My Insipiration Concept Counter
If you think about it, it makes perfect sense. The scent we smell everyday will remind us of something. Think of it as the familiar scent you smell when you hug your loved ones ( i still remember how my late granma smell like; she works in a rubber plantation and every time i cycle in a rubber plantation, it reminds me of her) or even the smell of the home cooked food you grew to be familiar with when you grow up! Smell is one of our five senses and the human olfactory senses are sensitive to whiff of pleasant and un-pleasant smell alike!Entice (For Him)
fresh bergamot notes which is a refreshing overture to a woody union of vetiver and patchouli with a clear trail of white jasmine.
Many Malaysians are users of perfume. Most perfume that is available out there nowadays are synthetic in nature as the natural ingredient is expensive and take years to harvest. Most perfumes has alcohol in them and that has raised some "halal" issue for Muslims in Malaysia to use them.Asaateer (For Her)
desirable blend of spicy saffron, cardamom and pink pepper top notes, elegantly infused at the heart with aromatic floral infusions of Rose, Osmanthus and White flowers, the fragrance completes its allure with exotic woody undertones of Indian sandalwood, Vetiver and Moss.
Good news is that Ajmal is made from natural ingredient and has no alcohol in the content. Coming from UAE itself (a majority Muslim country made up of seven states), Malaysian Muslim now has a choice of enjoying fragrances without any doubt. However, Ajmal is not just targeting the Muslim consumers but they are going beyond that and reaching out to consumer that are willing to try beyond the realm of convention. This meant those that is already tired with branding as this meant that the brand will spend more on marketing than the products.
Asheem (For Him)
flavors emit the fresh ingredients of sandalwood and amber with pungency of Clarysage and final touches of Oudh and Musk to complete the perfectly balanced modern oriental fragrance.
With that in mind, Ajmal Perfume are priced rather attractively for a outlet that looked (and feel) like a couture boutique. Prices of the fragrances ranges mostly between RM150 to RM250. This make the ranges of scent by Ajmal to be super affordable and competitively priced. Definitely promised to be gentle to the pocket especially if you are hunting for a Valentine's Day gift for your loved one. They have fragrances for male, female and even unisex scent that suit both male and female alike. They have high end perfume too that cost thousands of Ringgit as those are derived from precious Agarwood oil that takes two decades to harvest!
