Sarcasm is like a blunt rusted blade. It hurts you and leave you to continue to be hurt slowly. Just when you thought you are alright, the rust from the blade reacts and gives you more pain and continues to hurt you again and again. I was asked today by someone "why my laptop don't work". I went over to his place and found the problem - his laptop battery was flat and he did not switch on the power. I had to bite my tongue and refraining from saying anything sarcastic, but what i really wanted to say was "next time if you want to drink water, do check if the cup got water first, don't put the cup to your mouth and come ask me why your cup is empty". I did not. A friend then asked me separately as i relate the incident, "they use quill and paper there ah?". That, my friend, was just like the rusted blade.
