Happy new year all. The new year ride organised by CK and gang suffered a massive pile up with 4 riders with various injuries and one machine (bike la) injury. All were riding with helmets and all helmets suffered and broken into pieces (as they should on crash).
Do ride safe in 2009. Don't take things for granted and keep a safe distance between you and the front rider if you do want to draft. It will help if you know the front person's ability so you could easily gauge and anticipate what he will do (ie swerve right, swerve left, sudden stop etc etc).
